Telephones
Of course every kitchen had to have the latest invention, the telephone. Pictured below is one of
several wall phones I have. These phones were both practical and stylish. The one pictured below is
referred to as a "cathedral top, picture frame front model" which was the top of the line. The term
"cathedral top" refers to the scalloped top of the wall board. The term "picture frame front" refers to
the in-cut around the transmitter arm on the front of the box.
This one's in my kitchen, adding that country flavor to the surroundings.
