Jalapeno Glazed Pork Roast

Tired of the "same old same old " meat dishes? Well, give this one a try.
Nothing like a little zest of the southwest to shake the meal "blahs".
Ingredients:
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. pepper
5-lb. bone-in pork loin roast
1/3 cup jalapeno jelly, melted
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients listed above.
Rub this mixture over the pork roast.
Place the pork roast in a roasting pan. Roast until the meat thermometer inserted into the
thickest part of the pork (away from the bone) registers 160 degrees F, about 2 hours cooking.
Brush the jalapeno jelly on the roast during the last 10 minutes of cooking time.
Let stand 10 minutes before slicing.
If jalapeno is not your "cup of tea", then substitute melted apple jelly
for the jalapeno jelly for a very nice taste as well.
