mother's cranberry salad - two different recipes.
Mary Ledbetter’s Christmas/Thanksgiving Cranberry Salad
1 qt cranberries
2 cups sugar
1 pkg strawberry Jello
1 cup hot water
2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 cup crushed pineapple
1 cup chopped pecans
Grind cranberries, add sugar & allow to stand overnight.
Next morning, dissolve Jello in hot water.
Cool Jello before adding to cranberries.
Add pineapple, pecans and marshmallows.
Mix well & chill.
Mary's CRANBERRY SALAD
1 pound cranberries
2 c sugar
Combine & let stand 24 hours.
When ready to serve, drain cranberries & fold in other ingredients:
1 qt seeded grapes
1 c pecans
1 c whipped cream
