Beef Goulash

This is a quick and easy recipe for Beef Goulash that will please anyone's appetite.




1-1/2 cups spiral pasta

1 lb. lean ground beef or chuck

1 Tbs. canola oil

1 medium onion, chopped

1 medium green pepper, chopped

1 can (14 1/2 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained

1 cup beef broth

1-1/2 tsp. red wine vinegar or cider vinegar

1 tsp. paprika

1 tsp. sugar

1 tsp. garlic powder

1/2 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. caraway seeds

1/4 tsp. pepper

2 Tbs. all-purpose flour

1/4 cup cold water



Cook pasta per package directions.

Meanwhile in a large skillet, stir fry the beef until brown. Drain.

Add onion and green pepper and cook and stir for two minutes.

Stir in tomatoes, water, broth, vinegar and seasonings.

Bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 minutes.

In a small bowl, combine flour and cold water until smooth.

Add to skillet. Bring to boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes until thick.

Drain pasta, stir into beef mixture.

Yield: 6 servings.
