Boston Cream Pound Cake

Here's an idea for a quick and delicious version of a Boston Creme Pie using a pound cake. I made it for a birthday party at work and it was a big hit, especially when the person having the birthday got to pour the

chocolate over the cake.

 Ingredients:

1 Sara Lee Fat Free or Low fat Pound Cake**
1 small box instant vanilla pudding

1-1/2 cup half and half cream

1 tsp pure vanilla
1 jar Smuckers hot fudge sauce

 Directions:

Thaw cake per box instructions.

Slice pound cake into three layers horizontally.

Mix pudding, adding vanilla. Set aside to thicken.

Layer pudding between layers of cake.

Heat hot fudge sauce in microwave per instructions on jar.

Top the cake with hot fudge sauce.

Refrigerated until serving.

Or, refrigerate the cake until serving time and then heat the fudge and pour.

** Fresh baked and cooled pound cake is even better, so if you have the time...... go for it!!!
